RtI Implementation
CHISD is excited about the district-wide implementation of Response to Intervention (RtI) for the 2009-2010 school year.  RtI is an identification model that can be used for any student to determine academic deficits by identifying students' needs and then matching those with research-based intervention strategies.  Educators will make ongoing decisions about their students based on data collected from a variety of sources on a continual basis.  Schools will be better able to coordinate and enhance the support programs they currently have, develop additional tools and strategies through RtI's targeted involvement, and ultimately provide support based on the unique needs of each student.
