Trustee Hernandez has held the office of President of the Board (2006-2009, 2011-2012) and Vice President of the Board (2003-2005, 2010-2011). Mr. Hernandez served on numerous district and campus level committees prior to being elected to the Board. Trustee Hernandez is employed by the Office of Inspector General where he directs his efforts towards monitoring Medicaid-funded health care providers throughout the state for compliance with regulations and the prevention of fraud, waste and abuse. Trustee Hernandez and his wife Cynthia settled in Cedar Hill in 1991 and raised two children, Chris and Anna, both Cedar Hill ISD graduates. The Hernandez' are active members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville, where Mr. Hernandez has been involved with the Youth Commission, the Pastoral Advisory Committee, Safe Environment Committee, Liturgy Commission, Faith Formation Commission and the Altar Server Ministry. Mr. Hernandez has also been previously involved with the Boy Scouts of America with roles which have included Wisdom Trail School Night for Scouting Chairman (2003-2004), as well as Troop Committee member and merit badge counselor for Troop 541.
